Yes Virginia there is a Santa. And yes airport land is incredibly interesting. The saying goes that there is never a dull day at work. And for a people watcher like me, it is the ultimate place to work.

Hardly a day passes that something or someone strange doesn’t cross my path. And today was no exception. Today it was just the strange assortment of people. And the weirdest one in my book was a woman with a multi-colored Mohawk. A few weeks ago it was a man wearing a nice business suit with a shirt that was covered in a watermelon design. And a hat made to look like a watermelon. And unfortunately all I can do is shake my head in disbelief, and think to myself, “If only I had a camera”. But it wouldn’t matter anyway, picture taking is strictly forbidden.

So the next time your in Detroit, watch out. For you never know when I could be lucking in the shadows just waiting for the next strange event to happen. But in the meantime I will pass away the slow hours by laughing quietly at the unique people.
