A Well Deserved Day Off
Tonight I am taking a very well deserved day off. I have been burning the proverbial candle at both ends, and the wick is getting short. And you all know that I have been complaining about being very tired.
I am also in a tremendous amount of pain. I suffer from arthritis in my joints, and much of it is from lack of cartilage. Well, back in August when my doctor gave my diagnosis, I did some research on the effects of diet on arthritis. And I was shocked at what I found out. I found out that coffee is a common item that causes pain in arthritis sufferers. The book also suggested that a person that eliminates this from their diet can see a reduction in their pain levels.
I was sort of a doubter in the beginning. And I was an avid coffee drinker, drinking almost a pot a day. And I was also in tremendous pain everyday. So, I decided to give it up cold turkey. I was amazed at how good I felt almost immediately. I had been pain free for almost 6 months, until I started drinking coffee again. I just started drinking coffee again in the last two weeks, and here I sit today feeling like I am back at square one again. In so much pain I can barely raise my arms. I so want to give it up again, but I love the taste of coffee.
So today I had to make the decision to give it up all over again. It will be hard, but I can do it. I just have to remind myself that it is for my health. Wish me luck, and if your in pain like me, give it a try. You just might be amazed also.
To my entrecard droppers……I will be back tomorrow.

Good luck getting off the coffee!
Coffee contains THOUSANDS of compounds, so merely drinking decaf is not always a suitable alternative. I love coffee, strong and with heavy caffeine. I have to admit, though, that I probably felt better when I was not drinking coffee.
Good luck.
I had good luck with axing cane sugar down to nothing, too, and upping the glucosamine (or gnawing chicken bones) and vitamin C. Couldn’t hurt, might help.
