This story comes to us from Gallup, N.M.: Police have seized 1,200 pounds of marijuania coming across the border. Kudos go to the officer who stopped this truck.
It seems that it was a truck that was carrying fresh produce to California. And inside was four pallets of canned spinach. It seems that the officer became suspicious when he held one of the cans in his hand. The can felt much lighter than it should. So they opened the can up, and what did they find inside…..Marijuania.
This is where I think it gets innovative. Criminals have for years tried to smuggle illegal drugs into our country. Sometimes they succeed and sometimes they get caught. And they are forever coming up with new ways to smuggle the drugs. Who would have thought to pack the drugs into an actual can, then seal it up. To the average joe it looks just like a can of spinach. I mean I never would have guessed it. Police estimate the street value to be about 1.5 million dollars.
Now that is some valuable spinach my friends.
