Cops And Doughnuts
From small town America comes a story of nine cops who saved the day. When the local bakery and doughnut shop closed it’s doors after 113 years, the officers became concerned. So, they did the most logical thing……they bought the shop.
I can sense that these officers have some good marketing ploys up their sleeves. The sell the usual fare of doughnuts, cookies, muffins, breads and brownies. And they are also selling T-shirts and coffee mugs with logos like “you have the right to remain glazed” and “Handcuffs and cream puffs”. All top of the line marketing tactics. I think they got a real winner in their hands.
The officers were on hand for the grand opening but have hired a manager. They also have plans to employ local High School kids to run the counters. I do wish much success for a very successful business.
Maybe, since I am on vacation I can convince my husband to take a long drive into the country. Only to stop and get doughnuts and coffee from some real professional doughnut eaters.
